40 Miles for Midwifery

Miles for Midwifery is a 40 mile ultramarathon throughout Cleveland, OH. Spearheaded by our midwife herself, Colleen has set a goal to train from now until June 10th for this epic endeavor. We invite you to join along in the process, and build a village around her. There are many ways we support each other throughout the journey of pregnancy and childbirth, from sharing stories, making meals, preparing your home, buying gifts, being a doula, sharing in the postpartum care, and more! So join Colleen at any point of the course on Saturday, May 13th, and encourage her all the way to the end of this mountain of a goal. 

Why are we doing this? To raise money for our Motherfund. For every $3,000 raised, The Village can support one deserving family in their homebirth journey. We have set a goal to support 10 families, and we need your help to do it!

Come run or bike, scooter, rollerblade or whatever with me, whether it’s the 1 mile loop, 5k loop, 10k loop or the whole 40 miles, it would mean so much to me to have you stomping the ground next to me. The hub for the day is Lakewood Park (by Women’s Pavilion), think access to bathrooms, the playground, views of the lake, and lots of grassy space to stretch it out!
